Gran Bahia Principe is a resort formed by three hotels, Coba, Akumal and Tulum. It is a large beautifully designed resort situated on the Riviera Maya around about an hours drive from Cancun airport and twenty minutes away from Tulum. It’s location, on a long private beach, is partly protected by a Coral Reef.
Within the complex is a bright colourful commercial centre, Hacienda Dona Isabel, which offers a number of shops and boutiques as well as a medical centre and chemist, restaurants and daily entertainment including live music (Merengue and Salsa) as well as a variety of shows. Some facilities at Hacienda Dona Isabel are at an additional charge.

Accommodation
There is a choice of Junior Suites or Standard Rooms at the Gran Bahia Principe. All rooms include two double or one king size bed, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, mini bar, balcony and full bathroom. A private safe is available at an additional cost. Gran Bahia Principe Coba is an all-suite hotel.

Dining
There is an excellent selection of bars and restaurants to choose from at Gran Bahia Principe:
Yucatan offers buffet service in a large restaurant with some pleasant views, and is covered by one of the hotel's largest Palapas. Décor is typically Mayan including hand-carved and painted furniture. Cuisine is international featuring different themes each night.
Las Olas is a more casual eating experience located on the beach and serves snacks and fast food, including grilled meats, sausages, hamburgers, pizzas and a selection of salads.
La Gran Tortuga is situated facing the Caribbean at the southern end of the hotel. This restaurant offers buffet breakfasts and lunches and, for dinner, a fine selection of excellent grilled a la carte specialities. For the a la carte dinner, prior reservation is necessary. Guests may dine in this restaurant once per week.
Tequila faces the sea at the northern end of the resort and offers a la carte dinner with in a Mexican style of cuisine. The a la carte dinner requires prior reservation and guests may dine in this restaurant once per week.
Don Pablo is an enclosed restaurant with air-conditioning, offering an a la carte service with a wide gourmet selection of international cuisine. For the a la carte dinner, prior reservation is required and guests may dine in this restaurant once a week.
Restaurant Dolce Vita is an Italian buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch and an a la carte restaurant during dinner.
Restaurant Arlequine is International gourmet restaurants available for dinner for a la carte dining, reservations are necessary.
Restaurant El Acuario offers casual dining in a beachside restaurant serving snacks and fast food such as grills, hamburgers, pizzas and salad.
Restaurant Riviera is an International buffet restaurant which is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Restaurant Frutos Del Mar is an a la carte seafood restaurant serving and excellent variety of fish, and shellfish in a Caribbean style.
Gran Baha Principe has a number of bars of differing styles from theatre show bars where you can enjoy a drink whilst you watch a show to pool, beach and swim up bars.

Activities
A number of activities are available including entertainment programme for adults and children (day and night programmes) Sports including aerobic and Marange lessons, windsurfing, Catamaran, basketball, volleyball, tennis, snorkelling, Kiaks, Boogie boards and diving classes. For an extra charge wind surfing and sailing lessons are available as well as water skis, jet skis, diving school, horseback riding and banana boat. Some motorised water sports will take place in Playa Del Carmen due to local ecological laws (Gran Bahia Principe is close to a protected reef).

Spa
There is a spa and fitness centre available offering a variety of treatments.
