Royal Hideaway Playacar is an elegant resort which is situated in a popular town of Playa Del Carmen, around about an hour from Cancun and 45 minutes from Cancun International Airport. It is a luxurious hotel and it became the first all inclusive resort to be recognised as a distinguished ‘The Leading Hotels of The World’ property. This will become apparent upon your arrival were you will be greeted with a glass of champagne and cool fragranced towels, by the attentive staff.
The hotel is set in around 13 acres of lush tropical grounds adjacent to one of the most stunning beaches in the Yucatan Peninsula. The hotel successfully merges modern elegance with traditional Mexican charm and it affords its visitors uncompromising luxury. Although younger people are permitted it is more favoured by couples, guest must be over 13 years of age.

There are 200 rooms at The Royal Hideaway Playacar which are superbly decorated and offer extreme luxury for the more discerning quests. Each room includes fresh fruit basket upon arrival, concierge a king size or two queen size beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, hydro massage bath tub and marble shower, furnished terrace or balcony, satellite TV and DVD player, free wireless internet, stereo CD player, 24 hour room service, mini bar, electronic safety deposit box, coffee maker, hair dryer and a selection of deluxe personal toiletries. There are 184 luxury rooms with pool or garden view, 8 luxury rooms offering ocean view and 6 junior suites or 2 presidential suites with ocean view and additional living accommodation.

Royal Hideaway Playacar boasts an array of gourmet dining options, which provide cuisine of the highest standards in exquisite surroundings. All restaurants are a la carte and gentlemen are required to wear long trousers.
Las Ventanas by Sergi Arolo this is the signature restaurant for Sergo Arolo who is a world renowned Michelin rated chef from Spain. Chef Arolo’s creations are sure to exceed the finest of culinary expectations and the restaurant features a new wine cellar.
Palazzo is a traditional Italian restaurant featuring innovative European cuisine in an elegant restaurant accompanied by its charming atmosphere. Open between 18.00 to 22.30 reservations required.
Spices occupies a majestic position overlooking the Caribbean and offers diners a combination of Caribbean and Mexican cuisine. Fresh fish and seafood feature heavily on the menu alongside other local fair. Open between 07.00 to 10.30 for breakfast 12.30 to 14.30 for lunch and 18.00 to 22.30 for dinner (reservations required for dinner).
Azai features a menu which has been designed by Chef’s from Thailand and features delicacies from there and other Asian cuisines such as Sushi and Tepanyaki. Open between 18.00 and 22.30, reservations required. This restaurant has been awarded AAA 4 diamond.
The Grill is a romantic al fresco restaurant serving a selection of grill dishes from an a la carte menu. Open between 19.00 and 21.00, reservations required.
Club Royal provides 4 course dinners in the state of the art dinner theatre whilst guests enjoy live entertainment of a high standard.
Beach Club features an array of tradition finger foods, sandwiches and other buffet favourites next to the pool and beach between 10.00 and 18.00.
Bar Alegria offers a casual elegance as well as a relaxed laid back atmosphere for guests to enjoy conversation at the end of the day between 18.00 and 01.00.
Piano Bar provides a place to relax at the end of a hard day and enjoy live piano music open between 18.00 and 23.00.
A popular tradition at Royal Hideaway Playacar is afternoon tea which is served between 16.00 and 18.00.
The gourmet restaurants at Royal Hideaway Playacar also offer low carb items which include, salt encrusted sea bass with tomato Carpaccio and sauté spinach, Yucatan lime soup with shrimp, grouper papillote with fresh vegetables and dried fruit and citrus vinaigrette amongst other dishes.

Non-motorised water sports including kayaks, snorkelling, water polo, aqua aerobics, wind surfing and boogie boards.
