Situated on a glorious sandy beach and close to the centre

for the ferry to Cozumel and is a 4 to 5 minute drive from
Cancun International Airport.
Whilst staying at Sandos Playacar Beach you are reminded that
you are at the heart of the Riviera Maya. This protected area
provides many examples of the ancient Mayan civilisation and
even within the resort grounds you will come across a number
of Mayan ruins, as well as the Iguanas which have made these
relics their home.
Accommodation
At Sandos Playacar Beach there are 460 deluxe air conditioned
rooms and suites which are beautiful decorated in an elegant
and colourful tropical style.
Standard rooms offer 2 double or 1 king size bed, spacious marble
bathroom with shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar,
electronic safety deposit box, balcony and hairdryer.
There are also Hacienda junior suites which offer the above
plus a living area with an additional sofa bed in smaller buildings
each with their own solarium and private swimming pool.
The Royal Club section offers a more exclusive location and
all rooms enjoy ocean views. There is a choice of a double room
or 1 bed roomed suite and other Royal benefits include, private
check in, concierge service, reserved area at the beach, pillow
menu and other special amenities including bathrobes, toiletries,
welcome fruit basket and VIP treatment. The suites have an additional
guest bathroom, dining room and entertainment centre (DVD and
play station).
Dining
Grand Buffet Festival Is an International style buffet restaurant
open between 07.00 and 11.00 for breakfast, between 13.00
and 16.00 for lunch and 18.30 to 22.00 for diner.
Ola’la Is the pool snack bar serving breakfast between
08.00 and 10.00, lunch from 12.00 until 17.00 with a bar service
from 10.00 until 23.00.
Mediterranean Restaurant service seafood, meats and chicken
between 19.00 and 23.00, reservations required.
Broccolino is an Italian speciality restaurant offering a
la carte services between 18.00 to 22.00 reservations required.
Los Alcatraces is a Mexican speciality restaurant offering
a la carte service between 18.00 and 22.00, reservations required.
La Bambola is a café and sports bar which offers continental
breakfast between 07.00 and 10.00 and then a bar service from
10.00 until 00.00.
El Agave Blue Bar is a beach bar open from 10.00 until 17.00
Dance On is Sandos Playacar Beach’s disco open from
23.00 until 02.00.
Sandos Royal Club also offers a lounge for guests staying
in the Royal Club with drinks and canapés from 07.00
until 23.00.
Activities
Sandos Playacar Beach offers a number of activities for children
and teenagers. The kids club has 2 children’s pools,
playground, mini theatre and cafeteria. Activities for 4 –
12 year olds are supervised. At the teen club there is an
opportunity to enjoy family activities, table games, such
as air hockey, table tennis, pool, as well as an arcade room
with Xboxes etc. In the evening at the mini disco, children
will have the chance to dance and have fun or they may be
participating stars in the resorts Disney show!
For adults there is 1 private adults only pool as well as
3 other family pools, a gym with sauna, floodlit tennis courts,
volleyball and basketball and a water sports centre offering
snorkelling, windsurfing, sailing and Kayaks.
In the evening the short distance to Playa Del Carmen offers
the opportunity to enjoy its night life and to explore the
famous Fifth Avenue with its bars, restaurants, boutiques
and bars.
Spa
Spa facilities include massage treatments and beauty parlour
as well as traditional a Mayan Temazcal
Additional Services
There is a babysitting service, golf at Playacar Golf Course
which has 18 holes, a pro-shop and practice area, deep sea fishing,
scuba diving, medical service, boutique, and various excursions.
